International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states and other international actors. It encompasses the analysis of foreign policies, diplomacy, conflict, cooperation, international organizations, and global issues such as trade, security, and human rights. IR examines how countries engage with one another, the factors that influence their relations, and the impact of these interactions on global stability and peace. The field integrates insights from multiple disciplines, including political science, economics, sociology, and history, to understand the complexities of international dynamics. IR can include various theories and perspectives, such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories, which offer different interpretations of international phenomena and guide policies and strategies among nations.
